Sterling silver cufflinks with 18 carat gold vermeil, 18 carat rose gold vermeil or white rhodium plate.
17mm x 10mm diameter
These cufflinks were designed with an elegant mid-century aesthetic in mind and in celebration of one of our Britain’s most loved artists and sculptors – Barbara Hepworth. She often worked with organic, cell-like forms and during the 30s through to the 70s was a leading figure amongst a colony of artists living on the coast of Cornwall – our favourite county of England.
The cufflinks were made with a traditional processes in a fine casting house in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Prior to this the shapes were sculpted out of plaster by Roshini and her daughter and these models were perfectly replicated by a master 3D CAD designer in Hatton Garden. The models are then printed in resin with a 3D printer and sent to Birmingham where they are cast in finest sterling silver before being polished, mounted, hallmarked and plated, all in different workshops with specialist skills.
